WhatsApp solves a major problem of users, announces a great feature

 

Competition among social media platforms is intensifying at an unprecedented rate. Efforts are being made to make Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and other social media networking apps more efficient. WhatsApp is now ready to add a feature to its software that will make voice message transcripts .

A new feature is being introduced in WhatsApp which will provide text messages to those who wish to read any voice message. On-device transcription will also ensure privacy. WhatsApp and any third party will not have access to the content of the message.

Android smartphone users will initially be able to get English, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian language transcriptions. iOS 16 users will get French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Chinese and Arabic language options. iOS 17 users will get Danish, Finnish, Hebrew, Malay, Norwegian, Dutch, Swedish and Thai language options later.

Turn voice message transcripts on or off

Open WhatsApp Settings.

Tap Chats.

Turn Voice Message Transcripts on or off.

When enabling Voice Message Transcripts, select your Transcript Language.

How to see voice message transcripts
Enable voice message transcripts on your device.Tap and hold a voice message, then tap Transcribe.Tap open close menu in the voice message to reveal more of the transcription.

if there is a delay in receiving a voice message transcript but the reason for this could 

also be that the Language you selected does not match the language supported in 

WhatsApp. Or it could also be that background noise  is the cause. And because

of this noise , some words may be jumbled.
